Sounds like contemporary Dubstep.
Not bad man...i give you credit for making the wobble :)

Yet i think that the whole song composition is just...falling apart.
The pads are okay...as well as the lead.
But (And i know you just figured it out) the bass needs alot of work :L
Down from LFO timing to Mastering.

Just keep on foolin around with Massive (i know it well enough to say that you would need to spend alot of time with that vst to actually make something that sounds...well..good)

Food For Thought.
Keep It Up.

Kingdaro responds:

I'll have to agree with you that I definitely will need to screw around with massive a lot more to make anything, it has a lot of options and I've only explored a few.

I don't see how the bass is a problem though, I synced it with the beat, haha.

Nice.

This is a good track..but i think it needs more mastering on the main bass lead and the synth lead because they overbear over every other element in the track.

But in terms of composition of the beat and just general composition it sounds great!
Although there's one more thing that i want to suggest...
And it's a pretty big one....
..Transitions...
This track is IN DIRE NEED for transitions...it would make the track fly even MORE that it already has.(my opinion)

Food For Thought.
Keep it up bro.

NativeSnake responds:

Hey,
thank you very much for your constructive criticism.
I agree with you on the mastering an the transitions.
I'll try and work on it in future projects.
Again thank you very much, your help is much appreciated. ^^

Ah!

Not bad work with the pads my friend.
Of course In my opinion for it to be a better ambient piece...maybe make the pad leads introduce the track..and maybe inlcude some reverbated(or even chorused) bass...(maybe some sub bass)

And i mean just the pads...no percussions or anything like that...just kinda make it smooth with the help of Low Pass filtering.

Food For Thought.
Nice Job.

Joinken responds:

Thanks man!!

Will try your suggestions :)

Very Good Dubstep man.

Of course you couldve layered something FATTER and more GREASY on tope of the current wobble and add a tonn of reverb to it to make the track FLY!

Food for thought.
Great work.

SpencerHenslol responds:

Thanks mate, my dubstep tracks tend to be very melodic, rather than the 'random rythmic noise' that people expect dubstep to be nowadays. :D

Sorry man...

I hear nothing original here :l

Getcheffy responds:

its not supposed to be original. Its a cover song for an upcomming episode of Game it or Hate it.

Check out our webseries

I just have one question..

How come the guitar track is panned solely to the left, and the drum track solely to the right?

:L

JewelMaiden responds:

Good point! I think it had to do with some recording settings.

I'l need to dig up the raw file to fix this. Thanks for letting me know.

Shit man You're back....

What can i say...track is alright for some...dark, underground,( ambient?) techno...
but theres two problems and you may already know one of them...

One is Mastering. The lead synth needs to be mastered so its not "killing" the rest of the track. You need to blend all of the elements of the song together so you can a nice mix. Try things like compression and equalizing to achieve a better result.

Second is your Composition. Your chords are...well...not really the best i've heard. They start out nice...but then quickly become out of tune and just...*shudder* not good :/
Im not trying to undermine you or anything but...im just trying to point out the things that i think that need to be worked on for your productions to sound better.

Food For Thought.
Keep it up.

DESHIEL responds:

Mastering... yeah I'm totaly f*ked up in that because I don't know a thing about mastering :D
About the chords.

I can't realy start and continue "Progressively" because I lack the skill to make it all connect you know.
Overall. I'm realy a bad user of Fruity loops.
Everything I know is from "toying" with it.
Thus I can never fully create what I want.

Hey man...

GREAT.FUCKEN.USE.OF.ZETA!!11!!(sounds like zeta) (oh and sidecchain too)

Also the whitenoise is killer and the melodies just..UGH (*fap*fap*fap)
But...
And yes...theres a but..
Snare is awkward.
Drum kick is awkward.
My Opinion.

In the actual Beat track...just layer a clap and a snare (make em sounds a little Deadmou5ey you know?) and im not saying you can get it perfect but just layer those two and you should be golden...also if you threw in some rev'd snares or hats to fill it up a bit....would've made the beat track that much more MONSTER!

Oh and also...another thing i wouldve done..at that tiny drop on 0:38 i would've snapped off the filter cutoff for the whitenoise a little later...doing that will again fill your track up...and will eliminate the need to layer your leads to make them sound HUGE.

Food For Thought.
Keep it up.

keosni391 responds:
